JaSim® extends the wide range of simulation models developed by TSC Simulation. The standard windows- based range cover all aspects starting with a range of over 40 Basic Simulations, such as PID control, flow and pressure control, cascade control, centrifugal compressors, three phase separation models, and networked batch reactors.
The next level is Advanced Training and Assessment using real time dynamic models of the actual site-specific plant for Advanced Operator Training – which can include full emulation of the site DCS.
The most realistic simulations offered by TSC are Virtual Reality Control Rooms which allow both training and competency assessment of procedures and emergency response situations, with video recording and printed monitoring of trainee performance. These VRCR’s replicate the control room, including telephones and video feeds providing a true virtual reality experience. These include interaction with other control room operators and field operators using trainee role play. Cost effective full emulations are available for the major DCS systems such as Honeywell, Foxboro, ABB and Emerson. Workstations can be supplied with built in touch screen keyboards and may use screen dumps of the actual site graphics.
