The JaSim® simulation suite starts with simple control loops (level, pressure, flow and temperature) to complete process industry plant systems and sub-systems. It is an ideal tool for learning or reinforcing process control theory whilst undertaking practical exercises. With a simple and easy to use interface, short learning curve and generic graphics common to most DCS systems, it is an ideal strating point for anyone interested in a career in Oil,Gas or Chemical industries.
PID (Proportional, Integral & Derivative) control theory can be practiced through control simulation and techniques refined using a range of models which cover all basic plant and equipment and principles such as flow, pressure and level control, direct and cascade control, pid control, pump operations, compressors, distillation columns and much more.
Each model includes a Trend Chart and has Alarms and ESD functions along with stream component displays where appropriate. Each model also includes User Assignments which include activites to take your through each model and introduce you to relevant concepts and underpinning knowledge.
